CAREERBUILDER.COM (US and Worldwide) FavoriteSearch a network of 70 sites including USAToday and MSN. Incorporates Headhunter.net. Over 400,000 jobs listed. Besides the usual search criteria, you can also pick which job sites to include in the search. Site has Chinese and English versions, but a knowledge of Chinese is important even in the latter. Technology, internet and engineering jobs are most prevalent. Western multinationals like Dell, 3M and Intel compete with native firms for talent. COLLEGEGRAD.COM (US)Brings together competent advice for young jobseekers and resources from the likes of CareerJournal and Salary.com. Employers survey reveals who's hiring recent grads in volume. For 2003, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Disney, GEICO Direct, Peace Corps and Boeing lead the list (see http://www.collegegrad.com/topemployers/index.shtml). CollegeGrad's job bank is a bit small for a non-specialized site, offering about 1,400 or so random positions across the US. (September 2003)
